The families do deserve more. They deserve these fine officers back with the living. There is no amount of money that can ever compensate for the sacrifice made by these fallen officers.
At the very least, we can honor their lives by helping their families to have a roof over their heads, food on their tables, and an education for their children.
We also owe every sworn officer our respect and gratitude. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by this tragedy.

Our deepest regrets and sincerest love are sent to you--the families of our hero fallen police officers. May this donation contribute in some small way to the depths of your healing process. Thank you for your service and wishes for a much better 2010!

I am at a loss for words. The stupidity of this senseless crime is beyond understanding.
My heart aches for the families of these fine officers. To those loved ones left behind all I can offer, through my donation, is an acknowledgement of my deep appreciation for their commitment to the protection of our community. These fine people must be remembered. And their families must be cared for.
Please donate to show your support.

Yesterday on komo radio there was a police dispatcher asking everyone to put a blue light in their windows this Christmas season to honor our men and women in blue.
What a wonderful idea. Hope everyone will do it.

I just had to write in and agree with the others who wrote in to share there feelings. I live down the street from a Lakewood Police Officer. All I could do is ask him how I can help. How can you help someone who has lost everything to them. The one way I know how is to make sure that the families can carry on. So with that said I encourage everyone to donate anything they can. We must not let these families loose anything else.

Watch out for dishonest people using the Lakeland tragedy to prey on your emotions and ask for donations over the phone. I got a phone call Tuesday night asking me to donate to a group called something like "Police Protection." It was 900 number, so I was suspicious and did not donate. I checked later on www.sos.wa.gov and could not find a charity with that name registered in the state of Washington.

I am a Police Officer in San Bernardino, Ca. When the tragedy hit us, I couldnt help but let the tears flow. As my fallen brothers and brothers and sisters in blue know. We dont put our blood, sweat, and tears into the academy to be a Police Officer, we do it to become part of this brotherhood. Its sad to know that we have to work in a place where we are automatically judged by the uniform we are forced to where, and that is what my brothers of Lakewood Police Department were victims of. My heart goes out to their families and the entire Lakewood Police Department and to let you know even California was effected by this horrible loss. May god bless us all and give us the courage to face our fears and protect the people in the community at which we give our service to.
