Lakewood Police Officers Procession | Community Spirit

This is raw video from the four Lakewood officers procession at the crime scene on November 29th 2009. Four uniformed police officers from Lakewood Washington were shot and killed in a Sunday morning attack at a Lakewood-area coffee shop. After investigating the location of the shooting all day, the bodies of Lakewood officers Sergeant Mark Renninger, Officer Ronald Owens, Officer Tina Griswold, and Officer Greg Richards were taken away in a somber procession with many departments paying their respects.

• Sergeant Mark Renninger, 39, with thirteen years of law enforcement experience. He is survived by a wife, two daughters and a son.

• Officer Ronald Owens, age 37 with twelve years of law enforcement experience. He is survived by a former wife and a daughter.

• Officer Tina Griswold, age 40 with fourteen years of law enforcement experience. She is survived by her husband and two children.

• Officer Greg Richards, age 42 with eight years of law enforcement experience. He is survived by a wife and three children.

On a personal note, my thoughts and prayers are with each family member who lost their loved one. I hope you find closer and peace in all the love that is around you. You may not see it through your tears, but know it is there. They will not be forgotten. I thank those who lost their life for the good of all. And I thank each officer for the good work you do.
